Happy Belated Earth Day!

Hello, so I have started my new nanny job. The little girl I am working with is such a character. We will call her McQueen since she is so into the Car movie and the characters from it. She is a pistol alright. Talk, talk, talk.... she talks so much it took her almost an hour to eat breakfast the other day. I was like are you kidding me! Mom eventually shovels food into her mouth while she is talking or procrastinating to move the meal along. My take on this, when mom is on bed rest and can't be with us on meals, I am going to set a time limit on meals. You have 20 mins to eat and if you don't finish it then your out of luck. Will see how that goes, keep u updated on that. Oh, mom also believes in finishing everything that is on the plate, including the milk. I on the other hand not so fond of that idea.
The mom of McQueen will be on bed rest for the last 6 months of her pregnancy, so she will be there, but not totally there. So I will be working till the middle of October with this family. Then i am planning on visiting my family in Illinois for a week and then heading to England to visit my friend Corie. By the way visit her blog, it is cute.
So it is Friday night and I am spending it at home, the fiance went to his brothers house to watch a hockey game...what fun, not! I went to Borders to get a fun book called, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. I am excited to start reading it. It is about a family who only ate food produced in a 100 mile radius from where they lived for a whole year. Keep you posted. There is something about buying a new book that is really fun and exciting, it is like buying shoes to some people. Yea I know it is weird. And I made some cookies with the MIL (mother in-law). I am glad i get along with her so well. If only jeff got along well with my MIL. Ok, so i am going to drink my tea and read my book. Talk to you later.

Hello World, I'm back!

Hi everyone,

It has been quite a while since I last posted. A lot has changed since then. I have since moved to upstate New York and living with my future in-laws. Which means i got engaged! yea me! Woop, woop as corie would say. She inspired me to start writing again, so here it is. I changed my background, let me know if it is too much. I am trying to figure out how to keep my writing just in the middle but haven't yet, so if you could help me that would be great. My best friend from Maui got married and i wasn't there to see, boo hoo. I miss her tons. Things are slowly coming together here in Ny. I have a nanny job and it starts new week. I can't wait to start making money again. I need lots of money to pay off bills and to do fun stuff.
I am starting to plan my wedding, have decided so far that we will have cupcakes as dessert and centerpieces for the tables. We are not having a fancy wedding, having a fun low-key wedding. So i will keep you posted when things start moving along more.

So i will keep this nanny blog as a blog about work and life and how the wedding is going. Also to keep in touch with my friend who will be moving to England in the next month, who is going to send me lots of yummy English candy. LOL
tata for now

It's been a while

Hello everyone,

It has been a while since i have written. For a while I forgot how to log back on. Anyway update on chunky monkey. He can now pull himself up and stand holding on to things. He has started to crawl, which is a big accomplishment considering he still can't sleep through the night. I haven't watched him for a couple weeks, because grandma was visiting him, so we will see what other new changes have come about. He is eating baby food and oatmeal. He is very particular to texture, which make trying new foods hard.

Little H is doing well. I think he has grown accustom to his baby sister who is soooo cute! She is a little princess, eats good and a great little sleeper.

As for Little E, she is growing and picking up new things everyday. Mom and her are taking baby Spanish together. She is swimming like a pro and talking more and more each day, but still signing when she can't get her point across.

This Christmas season I will be working more for the agency and hopefully will have more exciting stories to tell.

Little H and his adventures

Well today Little H became a big brother. He has a sister. I am wondering how he is taking all this in. In the past previous weeks that I have been watching him I have occasionally ask him about his sister and what he thinks of her and if he is going to like her or be nice to her. He tells me that he is going to smash her and not be nice to her, well I hope that changes.

Anyway he has some funny words that he says and I wanted to post them on the blog.
Top 3 H words....
1.) Zilard= Lizard
2.) Omscreen= Sunscreen
3.)Pocesole= Popsicle it sounds a lot cuter in person
More to come later....
We went on a zilard hunt on tuesday, it was quite fun. Although I wish he could understand that the zilards are just to fast for him to catch. he can only catch the baby ones and that is because he gets them when they least except it. it is so funny to watch him, he gets so close to grabbing them and then they scurry away right as he reaches for them, he doesn't give up. He is determined to get one. We ended up with one, we did let it go at the end of the day.
Next we filled up water balloons, boy did that bring back memories of when I was in grade school. Having water balloon tosses and fights. Well he likes to fill them up and then pop them in the grass. A lot of work for such a fast breakage. After that we went for a jungle walk through the plants in my building. It was perfect height for him to walk through and pretend we were in the jungle. As I walked through a lizard jumped on my hand and scared me, I screamed out! That was fun pretending.
Remember when you were a kid and used to pretend. Not often as adults do we get to pretend on day dream and wonder off when we are in a zone.

It's been a while

Wow, it has been almost two weeks since I last posted. So a little update. I am changing the name of Little C to chunky monkey due to the obvious reason, he is so chunky. Also I refer to him as that when i tell other people about him.

So little E is growing so much. I take her swimming every chance I get. The other day we were swimming when she spotted a bug in the water. Now she can say bug very well. So I let the little lady bug crawl around on my hand. She was saying hi to the bug and trying to kiss him and then wanted the bug on her finger. So I let her hold it and she was pretty gentle. Later when it was time to send the bug on his way she was saying, "bye bug bye, bye bug bye," and then she blew kisses to the bug in the swimming pool. It was so cute I wish I had my video camera. On another day as I was leaving for the day. I was standing by the door talking to mom and then I was like bye E, she was leaning on the couch and like 10seconds later she bye. It was just so priceless they way Bye came out of her mouth. I love her.

She is teething this month getting some molars. So with that said she can be a grouch at some times. We were sitting on the couch watching Clifford the Big Red Dog. She loves dogs. Anyway she was sitting on my lap and all of sudden turned around and scratched me, with her one little finger. Ouch! I said loudly, gentle hands I told her. Then like 2 minutes later she turned around and hit me. No hitting I said, gentle hands. It was then I realized some Tylenol was needed and then off for a nap. Teething is scary!!

Random Thoughts

On Sunday I was a life guard for a private party. The mom threw a over the top birthday for the kid who was turning three. There were over 50 people there and only about a third of them were children. Didn't make any saves which was good. The birthday boy did trying to go swimming with his hot dog though. There were lots of cute kids and cute chubby babies there too. Some of which I wanted to take home with me.

On the way home and after I was done parking my car. As I walked through the parking lot, my next door neighbor was walking out of the parking lot carrying her cat. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was taking her cat to the park. She didn't have her cat on a leash, she was just holding it. She told me her cat had never been outside before and she wanted her cat to know what it is like outside. I told her not to loose her cat at the park. So, who takes their inside cat to the park? It was so random. Ok, so parents don't have to just have kids. You can be a parent of animals too, but what would posse you to decide to take your cat to the park. I thought you had been keeping you cat inside because you wanted an inside cat. I tell you some people do some really weird things. I had to write about it, I thought it was funny weird.

Little man H

Today I watch H for about 3 hours. He is so funny! H is 2 1/2 yrs old. Today we went on a fish hunt trying to catch fish in the ocean with a little net. He kept seeing the fish and then asking me to get them, I tried and tried and finally explaining to him that it is just to hard. "They are too fast," I told him. "Why?" he would say. They are just to fast! "Why?" he would say again, over and over we would go on about the why. Then we caught a baby crab and he want to take it out of the next, I told him he had to be careful because he didn't want the crab to pinch his fingers. "Why?" he asked. It will hurt if he pinches your finger and then you will have a boo-boo. Finally we headed back to the house where he happened upon some girls. His face lit up and he was so excited to see the girls. He followed them around and told them what he was doing, he had fun following them around. It was so cute to watch. He is going to be a heart breaker.
When we got back in the house he was worn out. What a fun day with the little man.
